E Street

Was out walking with Connor around sun set. My favorite time to take pictures. The sun is low in the sky that gives a dark yellow light to everything and incredible shadows. Took a picture of a street sign and then did some HDR Toning in photoshop. Nothing spectacular but its fun to look at.

Softened

REBEL T1i - f/4 - 1/60 sec. - ISO 400 - Canon EF-S 18-55mm - 18mm focal length
Hiking in the woods with Connor again. Another late afternoon walk with great lighting. I realy liked the incomplete composition of this shot. Nothing is complete, you can only see part of the bridge, part of the creek, the bottoms of the trees. Everything has been cut off. Yet the line of sight from the water highlights, moves in a nice straight line up the photo drawing your eyes upwards. I played around in Photoshop with the HDR toning filter, softening things up and increasing the highlights and shadows. I actually think i might want to get a print of this one.

The Path

HDR Image - 2 Pictures taken with Canon Rebel T1i

Went to the park with Connor today around 5pm. Great time to be in the woods as the sun is low in the sky so you get those long shadows. Bright golden light and lots of dark shadows. Perfect time for photographs. You get a ton of contrast. I took two shots one with a high aperture and then one a couple steps down, then used Photoshop to merge them into an HDR image. Hope you like it.
